Sessions designated as 'Repairs and Alterations' are not classes. During this time I will be carrying out repairs and alterations for customers who don't have the time or the inclination to do it themselves.

All Sessions are now intermixed so some people will be beginners while others will have moved on to home sewer or dressmaking projects.

Beginners For people who what to learn the basics.

We will start from basic hand stitches, hemming and sewing on buttons and move on to how to use a sewing machine. I will provide all the basic tools and fabrics you will need to get started

Beginners Sewing machine Skills For people who just want to learn how to use a sewing machine.

I have sewing machines for you to use so you can find out if you really like sewing on a machine before you go to the expense of buying one or if you already have a machine you can bring it along and learn to sew on your own machine all basic tools and fabrics provided.

Home Sewer For people who have some experience sewing.

You work on your own project anything from making a skirt to patchwork. During the course I will give impromtu 'How To' Sessions: Learn how to Insert a Zip; Hem Curtains; Use Dressmaking Patterns; the list is endless...
6 x sessions
Stitching Divas For experienced stitchers.

This is a chance to meet up with other sewers and get those forgotten, must get around to finishing that, projects completed. You bring along the project and I'll provide the space, encouragement and the basic tools (including sewing machines) - but feel free to bring along your own machine and tools if you prefer
10 x Sessions
Dressmaking For these Sessions you will need basic sewing skills and be able to use a sewing machine.

In these sessions you will learn how to follow and use a Dressmaking Pattern. This will involve you making a garment of your choice, for which you will need to purchase the pattern, fabric and sewing notions (i.e. all the bits and bobs you need to finish the garment; buttons,zips, interfacing etc) Sewing Machine and basic tools will be provided or you can bring along your own equipment if you prefer
6 x Sessions
Creative Theme Days These sessions will require a variety of sewing skills from beginners to experienced stitchers.

Details will be on the Message Board and will include Halloween; Christmas; Gardening Gifts; Baby Gifts. Each Session will have information on what you need to bring with you, basic tools and sewing machines will be provided - but bring your own along if you prefer.

Sew Recycle & Make Do and Mend These classes are for people with basic sewing skills who can use a sewing machine.

'Sew Recycle' involves altering or remodelling existing garments or soft furnishings. 'Make Do and Mend' is about repairing damage to garments, replacing zips etc... This can be anything from your favourite top you just can't part with to a charity shop find that needs updating. All you need to bring along is your recycling or make do and mend project. The basic tools and sewing machines will be provided for you, but you can bring your own if you prefer.
